Oh man, where do I even start with this? WWE hitting up the Switch 2 in a few weeks feels kinda wild. Can you believe it? I mean, the last time they tried something like this on a Nintendo console… well, let’s just say it wasn’t exactly a masterpiece. Yeah, that original Switch game was like, December to Dismember-level. Yikes, right?
So, preorders are up as of, like, today and people are pretty hyped. Apparently, WWE 2K25 is dropping on July 23. Can you believe it’s been since 2017 we had a WWE game on Nintendo? That’s like… forever in wrestling years. Anyway, they’ve got three versions lined up. The basic $69.99 version is there for the budget-friendly folks. But then there’s this $99.99 “Deadman” edition. Yup, The Undertaker is back to take your money. And then, get this, a “Bloodline” edition for $129.99. I guess Roman Reigns and his gang get to be the center of attention. Who would’ve thought?
Now, talking about the game itself—300+ wrestlers! That’s a massive lineup covering the main WWE brands. Raw, Smackdown, NXT, they’ve got it all. They even threw in something called an “Island” mode. Not entirely sure what that is, but knowing me, I’ll probably get totally sidetracked messing around in it. It sounds like there’s lots of chaos to dive into, which is just how we like our wrestling games, right?
But yeah, it’s all happening soon and everyone’s buzzing. I guess we’ll find out if it lives up to the hype, or if it’s another December to Dismember scenario. Who knows? Fingers crossed! Anyway, that’s what’s up.
