James Gunn Announces New Fortnite Crossover

James Gunn dropped a bombshell, and it’s kinda epic (pun intended) if you’re into Fortnite. Apparently, Peacemaker is crashing the party as a skin you can snag in the Item Shop. It’s all happening as Chapter 6 Season 3 wraps up—right in the middle of that whole Superman crossover thing Gunn’s been buzzing about with his latest movie.

Anyway—where was I? Oh right, Fortnite. There’s this big, flashy event on August 2 at 2:30 PM ET. They’re calling it the “Super Showdown” (creative, huh?). Superman’s gonna be front and center, which makes sense because, well, he’s Superman. But unlike some bizarre end-of-world scenario, Chapter 6 Season 3 doesn’t wrap until August 7. So, you still have time to hang out there, if that’s your jam.

Speaking of jam—did you hear about this leak from ShiinaBR or whoever? It’s got everyone buzzing because apparently Vigilante might be tagging along with Peacemaker. The whole DC crew seems chummy with Fortnite lately, especially with Cyborg just showing up. Teen Titans, anyone?

And get this, there are new modes heading to Blitz Royale. “Six Stack” lets you rally a crew of six. Imagine the chaos! Which, oh right, is exactly what the “Pure Chaos” mode promises. More siphoning, more skilled opponents. Sounds like a headache—but the fun kind. That’s all kicking off post-showdown on August 2 at 3 PM.

I dunno, something about all these updates got fans kind of hyped. Maybe it’s the fresh content, or maybe they just like dressing their avatars in tights. But yeah, Fortnite’s future? Looking bright, or at least interesting.
