Oh man, Big Pikachu had some serious chatter going on. Like, more than usual, if you can believe it. So, beside the Z-A details they threw at us, and some massive shindig for Pokémon Go — yes, they crammed in a ton of stuff at the Pokémon Presents.
Oh, before I forget, there’s this puzzle game, “Pokémon Friends.” Yeah, someone let that slip on the iOS App Store before it was even officially announced. Oops, right? Anyway, you can snag it on Switch and Android too. Basically, you’re solving puzzles to whip up Pokémon plushies, and surprise, surprise, there’s microtransactions for extra puzzles. It’s on the eShop for $9.99 — or whatever that is in your neck of the woods.
I got sidetracked by the World Championships bit — what was it? Ah, right. 2025, August 15-17. Championship Sunday is partying at Anaheim’s Honda Center. Used to be called Arrowhead Pond, fun fact. That’s where the Ducks flap around for the NHL.
And then Netflix has “Pokémon Concierge” hitting the airwaves with season two on September 4. Oh, and in 2027, there’s this Aardman thing, known for that claymation stuff, doing “Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu.” Sounds intriguing, if you ask me.
Now, shifting gears to some amusement park news — who doesn’t love a theme park, right? PokePark Kanto’s opening in Tokyo sometime early 2026. I’m guessing for the 30th Pokémon bash. Also, in Pokémon Masters EX, Carmine’s joining July 30. But wait — there’s more Pokémon madness. Pokémon Cafe Remix has an ocean-themed deal starting today with Lapras and Totodile in adorable costumes.
And in Pokémon Unite, Latias is swooping in on August 8, plus there’s this wacky “Electrode Volleyball” mode happening now. As for the trading cards — they teased some Mega Evolution set, but those bad boys are already gone.
Ah, and the raid battles! They’re starting tomorrow in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet — you gotta take down those “Treasures of Ruin” legendaries like Chien-Pao, Wo-Chien, Ting-Lu, and Chi-Yu, a million times! Yep, a mil. Do that, and everyone scores shiny versions. There’s also type-themed Mass Outbreaks popping up out of nowhere.
Finally, Pokémon Champions — it’s letting you rent Pokémon if you’re feeling adventurous. There’s also talk about tweaking effort values and nature. Look out for that in 2026.
Crazy how much they packed in, huh? I’m all over the place just trying to keep up!
