Alright, so there’s this game—Stunt Flyer. Just FYI, it’s dropped on PlayStation 5 thanks to Ultimate Games and Torus Games. What’s it about? Flying, open world style. Boom, three maps to mess around in: Gloster, Captain’s, and Nimbus. And choosing who flies your plane? That’s a thing too. Jimmy Jetstream… Sophie Stunts—seriously, who comes up with these names? Oh, there’s Sky Captain and a bunch of others too.
The vibe? Full on arcade. You got 40 missions—local co-op too. They say “arcade,” but I felt like I kept thinking of soggy cereal somehow. Don’t ask why.
Now here’s what you do first. Tutorial time! No choice. You pilot with the left stick, R1 speeds you up, L1 slows you down. Easy? Kinda. But when you’re flying and trying not to crash—total chaos. The barrel rolls? L2 and R2 buttons. If you’re lost already, don’t worry, I was too.
Let’s talk trophies—or lack of ’em. No Platinum trophy here. Kind of weird, right? Especially for PS5. You’re looking at a few Bronzes, Silvers, and just three Golds. If you care about 100%-ing games, you gotta grab 100 coins on each map. Can we pause and appreciate the patience that might require? But, eh, it adds something.
Did I tell you? Stunt Flyer’s going for $14.99. It’s also on PlayStation 4, same price, different purchase. Your wallet might cringe a bit.
Fine print time—this review was based on a PS5 version from Ultimate Games. There, full disclosure done.
