Alright folks, hang onto your hats! So, SEGA threw a little curveball our way. There’s a demo out for “Shinobi: Art of Vengeance,” and if you’re into swinging swords and ninja stars, this might just be your ticket. Seriously, it’s on the Nintendo eShop now for Switch. Which is kind of exciting, right?
Picture this: you’re plopped right in Oboro Village. The first stage. I mean, should I be excited about battling enemies and leaping around like a ninja squirrel? Heck, maybe. There’s talk of hitting high scores in Arcade Mode — though who knows if I’ll make it past the first level without tripping over my own feet.
Now, why the whole demo unlocks some special abilities early is beyond me. A marketing trick? Or just a sweet surprise? I’m gonna assume it’s both, with a side of ‘oh well.’
We’ve got Joe Musashi back, which is fab, because if there ever was a dude you want on a revenge quest, it’s Joe. The guy’s village got torched and his people are now lawn ornaments. That would put anyone on edge, I guess. So off he goes, slicing and dicing through visually stunning, hand-drawn chaos. Seems like a regular Tuesday for him.
You know what’s cool? This collaboration with Lizardcube. Their art style? Beautifully chaotic. Want a game that takes you from military bunkers to a desert so hot you might feel it IRL? Sure, why not! Those stage designs promise a wild ride.
Combat seems deep too. Katana, Kunai, some epic Ninjutsu arts — you name it. Get ready to button-mash in style or precision, depending on mood swings or caffeine levels. Plus, there are these Ningi tools and Amulets. Fancy, huh? Extra powers and secret pathways sound intriguing even if I’ll probably miss half of them in a distraction-filled sprint.
Set your calendars—29th August 2025. No clue why this game’s digital-only. Seems like a missed opportunity for some cool physical edition. But hey, I’m not running SEGA’s marketing.
So yeah, that’s the scoop. Get ready to channel your inner ninja. Or don’t. I mean, live your best life.
