Nintendo Release Updates – April 10, 2025 – Announcements

After a whirlwind of chaos, we’re diving back into our usual rhythms with the Switch OG.

Last week, we glossed over a few things, including Namco’s classic, Assault Plus, arriving in the Archives. It was a week for the books, to say the least. Just think: "OK, so THAT happened" sums it up perfectly. There was the Switch 2 Direct that dropped like a bombshell, followed by a frenzy, mostly stirred up by 20500. Now, in the aftermath, this week’s eShop lineup may seem a little underwhelming, but there are still some bright spots to get excited about. Starting off strong, we have Star Overdrive, a bit of hovercraft fun that was teased in the recent Direct—that’s already over a week old, yet feels like ancient history. Also on deck is Battlefield Waltz, localized by IFI from Idea Factory/Otomate. Keep an eye out for any day-one updates with this one (I know I will be).

In other highlights, there’s the "Promise Mascot Agency," another addition to the Snow Bros. series, and for those outside Japan, the EggConsole’s maze game from 1983, Pyramid Warp, is worth grabbing.
