Whoa, so ASRock is diving into the mix with this snazzy-sounding “Taichi White” graphics card. I mean, the name alone kinda tickles my fancy. Anyway — wait, let’s back up. So, they’re rolling out this RX 9070 XT variant, right? And lemme tell you, it’s got some serious stuff going on. They already have like, a white version with the Steel Legend, but nah, that’s not enough. They’re thinking, “Hey, let’s toss in the Taichi cooling system and pump up those clock speeds to a mind-boggling 3.1 GHz.” Who even needs that? But, I dig the ambition.
The card, which they call the ASRock Radeon RX 9070 XT Taichi White OC — that’s a mouthful, huh? — is kinda like a living concept right now. Soon to be real, I guess. It’s packing the RDNA 4-based Navi 48 GPU, which is supposed to be top-notch. Triple-slot, triple-fan, all drenched in white. Hmm, I imagine it’s as cool as a polar bear on an ice cap. Or not. And those fans, with their Striped Ring thingy, sound intriguing. Apparently, there’s some fancy LED light action too, controlled by their Polychrome Sync thing. Fancy that.
Then there’s this Radeon AI PRO R9700 Creator. It’s got 32 GB and the same ol’ Navi 48 core, pushing up to 2920 MHz. Who knows if I’ll ever need such power while binge-watching Netflix, but hey, it’s there if you want it. Comes wrapped in a die-cast metal shroud — kinda sounds like armor for a knight, if knights were graphics cards. It’s got a blower-fan design, heatsinks, vapor chambers, and whatever else they can squeeze into a 2-slot design. Oh, and it uses Honeywell PTM7950 for cooling. The name’s slick, but I’m not sure what it means.
Finally, they’ve shown off some AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT cards. These have this rugged “Steel Legend OC” and slick “Challenger OC” vibe happening. Triple-fan and dual-fan, can go up to 3290 MHz. Single 8-pin connector. Nothing too wild, but they’re custom and might cost a bit more — who doesn’t like a premium edge, right? But, they promise to hover around the usual $299/$349 US price, which sounds respectable.
So there you have it, ASRock’s latest bits and bobs in the world of graphics. Love it, hate it, or just indifferent? I dunno, but it’s definitely something.
