If you can’t get enough of what I, for some reason, believe is Oblivion’s best faction quest—Dark Brotherhood, duh—then, oh boy, buckle up. There’s this thing called Oblivion Remastered that’s basically a sandbox for people who think getting creative with contracts is a hobby. Someone—don’t ask who, because I honestly forget—cooked up a whole new system with 100 fresh targets. Yes, 100! And guess what? You can slay them again and again. Living that Black Hand life, right? Or maybe it’s just me getting way too into it. Who knows.
I was going to say something profound here, but I got sidetracked thinking about how much more fun it is to be the hunter. Hero vibes are great and all, but let’s be honest—sometimes you just want to, you know, go full-on rogue.
Anyway—oh wait, yeah, talking about that mod. It’s called ‘Dark Brotherhood – Infinitum’ by ColdTyrant. Very Sithis-approved. These guys have also dabbled with letting players dive into the whole Mythic Dawn, necromancer thing. Sticking with dark themes, I suppose. Fits perfectly with the chaos and all.
So here’s the deal: 100 contracts, infinitely respawnable (is that even a word?), perfect for when you’re bored or broke. The base questline stays just like before, untouched and pure, in its bloody glory. And don’t stress—these new NPCs have names like ‘Diligent Father’ and ‘Random Merchant Guy’, so Cyrodiil’s OG population lives to see another day. Until next time.
Get your contracts at the Cheydinhal Sanctuary. Creeper’s got your back. Yep, Creeper from Morrowind is here to hand out missions and goodies. The vibe is real, let me tell ya.
Oh, and don’t forget the wacky loot system: 500 gold and these things called “Dark Tokens.” Why? Well, there’s a gacha wheel. Spin those tokens and boom, maybe you get magic armor or a peculiar scroll. Who doesn’t love gacha mechanics in their RPG? Okay, maybe some people—definitely not my guides-writing coworkers—but they’ll deal.
Wanna try your luck? All you need is Oblivion Remastered’s UE4SS stuff and UE4SS TesSyncMapInjector… whatever those are. I’m just here for the chaos.
Happy Oblivigachaing (yep, I said that), and don’t forget to catch more on our mod coverage. Curious folks even snagged an interview with the mastermind modder changing the game right after its release. Bonkers, right?
