Alright, so here we go. I just dove into the second part of this game called Lost Records: Bloom and Rage from DON’T NOD. Yeah, it’s on PlayStation 5, and it’s out now. I mean, I don’t really know why I’m excited — maybe it’s because I had a blast with the first tape? The anticipation was real. Anyway, let’s jump in.
So, there’s this thing where you kinda hop around between the 1990s and now, meeting Swann, Autumn… and, uh, some other folks — Nora and Kat, yeah. It’s like, the story grabs you after a real cliffhanger in the first part. But, uh, enough about that — spoilers are my enemy today.
The gameplay is mostly the same. So that’s that, right? You got Swann with her camera, capturing memories or whatever, to weave this story of theirs. Oh, and trophies. Who knew taking random video tidbits could be this rewarding?
About the trophies — all 44 Bronze ones, 2 Silvers, and 3 Golds. Might make a list appear out of thin air. But there’s more, like, calling some secret number or messing around with Swann’s stuff real quick. And there’s a magic eye book. No idea why they included that, but hey, Easter eggs are always fun.
This second act is out now, and it’s like — what’s the word — denser. Flies by faster because you’re knee-deep with these characters already. Choices matter, too, somehow weaving your saga with the others, ending up somewhere unique when those credits roll. Costs $39.99, by the way, so there’s that.
Anyway, it feels like the curtain’s closing on this rollercoaster by DON’T NOD. And if you have a PlayStation 5, it’s waiting for you. Who knew gaming could be such a storytelling adventure?
